Welcome to your complete hunting resource offering the finest elk, mule deer and mountain lion hunting in Colorado at High Park Lodge!

If you are a hunter, wildlife photographer, or just looking for a unique getaway, you have come to the right place.  Our hunting grounds are privately owned.  By controlling the amount of hunting pressure, we are able to offer a superb big game hunting opportunity.

    Want to be up close and personal with the Rut Crazed Elk - This is the hunt for you.  Please note we take a limited number of hunters during archery.
Black Powder

  • By Drawing only
    Our muzzle-loading hunts are much like our archery hunts in that the bulls are usually bugling and chasing cows, allowing us to call them in for a close shot.  No over the counter license are available.
Rifle

Guided Areas

High Park Lodge is located in the Western part of Colorado bordering National Forest on the Grand Mesa, one of the largest flattop mountains in the world at an elevation of 8,600 feet.  Aside from having the best view around and excellent accommodations we have some of the best hunting in Colorado

Lodging:
       The lodge is 3,200 square foot, containing three bedrooms with six beds in each, one guide room, two baths, a great room and hot tub.  Three home style meals will be provided for you each day.  You will need to bring your personal gear, hunting weapon and hunting license.

Your game will be packed out to a meat locker in town.

Suggested Hunting Clothing & Supplies

Temperatures in Colorado at this time of year will vary from 10 to 60+ degrees.  For current weather conditions check out the Colorado weather site and 9News livecam.  Layered clothing works best, wool and light socks and good gloves.  Blaze orange vest and hats are required during rifle and black powder season.
