About Us |
|
Our base camp at Kruger Lake is just a few kilometers north of Indian Point Lake, one of the major lakes in Bowron Lake Park. It is the gateway to the true wilderness that lies to the north and northeast of this beautiful park. This is the last area of human habitation and once climbing on your horse to head up to the mountains, you will not encounter other persons save the ones in your group. It is common to see moose, caribou, grizzly, mountain goat and black bear and occasionally wolf, wolverine and coyotes along the way.
Horseback is the main mode of transportation on most of the hunts. The horses have all been raised in this country and are strong, very gentle and dependable. Although riding experience is helpful it is not a necessity. Depending on the type of hunt, tree stands, 4x4, ATV, canoe and hiking are also used. Some of the hunts are conducted from our base camp at Kruger Lake, while others are conducted from well equipped cabins or tent camps further out in the mountains. In today’s world of unbearable stress, daily deadlines and fast paced lifestyles, it is good to know there are still places you can go to that are untouched by all of this.
